Even worse, the story wasn't intended to be as important as the online gameplay. These stories may have been mentioned but never fully explored. They either make new choices or have fans forget lore established from previous games. While many players don't pay attention to inconsistencies, others do, making Bethesda feel pressured to explain their decisions. Since the Fallout series has been owned by two separate developers, making the lore make sense has cause conflicts among the company and its long-time fans. Others are confusing and make gamers upset. Many side quests make a long-time impression. ![]() The protagonists of Fallout are on a quest, but they often take out time to hear the requests from others. The FEV lab is an abandoned section of the facility where the Institute tried to unlock the secrets of the Forced Evolutionary Virus, and it is the source. This proves that there's always work to be done to help America recover. The game takes place in the year 2161 on the West Coast of what used to be the United States of America, particularly in California. The new owner of the Fallout franchise gave us a glimpse of how other regions of the countries suffered. Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game is a post-apocalyptic computer role-playing game that was developed and published by Interplay in 1997 and is the first game in the Fallout series. Fallout 2 showed us what helping others could accomplish. It's up to the player to make choices on how to create a better world. They can create a savior of the Wastelands or someone so despised that they're immediately outcast from most settlements. The corridor beyond is protected by a pair of laser turrets and leads through an Advanced-level door into a storeroom where an Assaultron lurks.īeyond is the FEV lab proper, starting with test-subject observation chambers (and more turrets) and a small entrance area to the incubation chamber. Accessed through a Novice-locked door off the main area of the BioScience division laboratory, the player begins in a foyer leading to an airlock with a dead synth.
